About the school

​The Agrupamento de Escolas de Pinheiro (Agrupamento means a group of schools) is situated in a rural area, Termas de S. Vicente between Penafiel and Oporto cities. It is distributed in different buildings: one main school with students between 10 and 18 years old (where all administrative offices are located) and 7 small schools with students from 3 to 9 years old.

The Agupamento de Escolas de Pinheiro offers to Penafiel county's population, primarily in the southern part of this, educational provision which includes the pre-school education, the basic education, scientific and humanistic (secondary education), professional courses, courses of education and training of adults and special education. In fact, our school is an inclusive one, so students with special needs are also attending it.

​The main objective of our school is thorough preparation of students for university study and to enter in the job market. Besides the formal curriculum, students of different educational levels may attend curriculum enrichment activities, projects and clubs: like music education, physical activity and sport, science projects, languages clubs, experiences in laboratory, etc..
